“By day she commands her world, by night she inspires fantasy…” read Diane von Furstenberg’s tagline for her Fall 2015 collection.  The models graced a black acrylic runway channeling strength, sexiness, mystery and power.  The collection ranged from pinstripe suites and separates, to stunning evening dresses with embellishments and peek-a-boo accents, to a darling polka-dot shirtdress with the brand’s signature lip print on the sleeves, and a simplistic white and black version of DvF’s signature wrap dress, worn by Kendall Jenner.  Other noted models were Jourdan Dunn, Grace Mahary, and Malaika Firth.

Makeup and hair added to the collection’s inspiration.  “The look is very much about seduction,” said key artistPat McGrath for Max Factor.  “Its all about a black eye, very simple all around the eye, pencils, shadows, and a little bit of cream shadow on the lids just before they go out.  Mascara on the top and bottom and a little bit of a golden highlight to the cheekbone and a nude lip.  DvF was saying seduction, seduction, I just want them to look seductive,” explained McGrath.  The hair was all about the done-undone look.  Pulled back into a mid-low bun, just high enough to show the nape of the neck.

Overall the show was spellbinding and the magic of seduction was definitely felt.  Jones was on the scene backstage post show to talk with both Brittany Hampton, DvF Global Brand Ambassador and Abs Petit-Frere, Designer and former “House of DVF” star.   Check out our exclusive interview below.

Jones Magazine with Brittany Hampton

Tell us about the inspiration for the show.

Brittany Hampton: It was all about seduction. I think DvF’s inspiration was overall what a woman can do to a man, rather than what a man can do to a woman.  And again it’s all about woman empowerment as always.

Tell us a little about your experience since becoming the DvF Brand Ambassador.

BH: Being the global brand ambassador for DvF has been the most elaborate experience of my life.  I don’t know how to say it any better.  I’ve got to work with the different departments within the DvF company.  And again it’s the best experience that I could have ever asked for.  It’s what a girl dreams of.

What do you think about the run of show post show?

BH: I think everything went great.  Everything went to the T, it was perfect!

What are some of your style tips for the upcoming Fall 2015 season?

BH: Dark colors, dark nails, and a lot of accessories.  DvF has a new jewelry line out so you’ll have to go get it.

Jones Magazine with Abs Petit-Frere

TB-JM: What did you think of the collection?

Abs Petit-Frere: I loved the collection.  It gave me a little bit of naughtiness.  This is a side I’m not familiar with for the DvF brand.  If you remember last season the spring collection was really youthful, really fun, fresh, and then she hits you six months later like BAM!  I’m a full grown woman and all you hear is Beyonce in the background (laughs).  She also had the ambience set with The Weeknd, which was the same playlist from the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack.

TB-JM: What was your favorite piece?

APF: My favorite stand out piece was the fully sequence black mesh gown.  That was everything to me.  It was just the epitome of sexy and classy.

TB-JM: What are your favorite trends for the upcoming Fall 2015 season?

APF: My favorite trends for the fall coming up, I’m thinking would have to be the furs.  You know people used to feel like really a fur but now people are hitting the thrift stores, goodwill trying to find that fur piece for the season that you can just throw on with anything.
