The Think Pink Pamper & Beauty Event was help at the Glam Lust Life Boutique in LA on Sunday October 26, 2014. The event’s purpose was to “uplift, encourage, empower and restore hope in the women” as it successfully raised money for Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation’s research into the cause of breast cancer. The ladies enjoyed a day of beauty and pampering while donating to a great cause. Light massages were provided by Manly Handz, a company of solely male massage therapists. Antone Murray, owner of Royal Treatment Pampering Services, provided my massage as he explained to me that Manly Handz teamed up with Scent_sational Soaps to provide the company with 2 or 3 exclusive scents of soaps and body butters. If you’re looking for the total pampering treatment, contact Royal Treatment Pampering Services, a one-stop shop for your hair, nails, beauty, massage therapy and catering needs. Mini hand treatments were provided by Gionna Jamison, a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant and eyebrow threading by Lashed & Stilettos, a new mother-daughter owned beauty shop located on 4th and Fairfax. Coffee was provided by Nescafe rep, Keri Bunkers. Home-made chicken salad sandwiches and turkey wraps were served for lunch while an array of cupcakes by Season 2 Cupcake Wars winner, Bake You Happy, were displayed to feed your sweet tooth. Fannie Belle, owner of Fannie Lashes, was one of the sponsors of the event. She explained to me that one of the reasons behind the success of her new lash line is that “we are the first company to sell mink lashes in a compact mirror.” Belle is also currently working on a reality TV show and talent competition for inner-city kids. She wants to give back to her community of Watts. Raffle tickets were given upon entry for a change to win one of several prizes, one which was a Nescafe Gusto coffee maker.
