Spotted on the spring/summer 2012 catwalks, from Christopher Kane, Topshop Unique to Sonia Rykiel  one footwear trend  stood out and had everyone buzzing. A nifty combination of a flat and thick platform style ...the 'Flatform' is born.

Now for some they may bring back memories of the Spice Girls in the 90's, and like marni, you'll either love or hate them. We love them, as a trend you should invest in for spring.

Their comfortable design helps to give tired legs a little lift without the crippling pain of a stiletto, and therefore a great choice for anyone who is vertically challenged ( a bit like me ) when it comes to heels. It also helps that the styles hitting the high street are actually pretty cute. Well who needs a better reason?
