Little over a week ago Marc Jacobs announced his new scent "Dot", the third in his fragrance empire. Now he has revealed plans to go even further into the world of beauty with his own cosmetic line with Sephora.

Jacobs told WWD “I see makeup, fragrance — everything, really — as an opportunity. The idea of choosing a color for your lip, or an eyeliner — it’s just such a delight. The ritual of waking up and making those choices is something people really enjoy. We currently are working on defining what Marc Jacobs cosmetics will be, what they’ll say, what makes them distinctive. I think that will take some time, but the first meeting was good.”

The designer offered no expected release date, and it is clearly very early in the process, so it might be some time before you see the products on shelves. But if it is like anything else Marc Jacobs does it will be worth the wait.
