Transformation was definitely the topic of Prabal Gurung’s spring show at New York Fashion Week.  In the past, Prabal Gurung’s collection has been noted for being polished and clean cut. During this week show, we were presented with an edge to the beautiful simplicity that was designed in the past. As the seasons pass, the collections evolve, creating a new look and fresh twist on the simplicity that once was.

Collection colors are in black, red, and silver, either treated with lace and or feathers. Collection colors and designs were inspired by the eastern world.  Ethnic references of India and Nepal were present in the collection. Dramatic layering and tailoring is sure to be a blossoming trend this spring.
