The “212” femcee Azealia Banks is speaking out about Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2013 Collection, the Italian designer felt inspired by their Sicilian roots, and chose a rather controversial collection. Some of the models adorned the D&G catwalk wearing burlap dresses and earrings with images of black women wearing plantation-era cornucopias on their head. Many felt it romanticized the “Mammy” images American slave era. Bank caught wind of the controversial collection and expressed herself via Twitter. “Whoever designed that racist a** Dolce and Gabanna collection needs a swift kick in the mouth and a big #$%!...............", let just say she expressed herself. Is this racism in the 21st century or art?
