With Tom Ford’s new fall campaign making internet rounds and his recent announcement to show his spring collection in London, Tom Ford is definitely on the radar. Not that he really fell off to begin with. And it makes us wonder…what is so alluring about him? The sex-charged adds (to racy to post here)? That come hither stare he never leaves home without? We can’t pinpoint it exactly, but we can’t deny his visionary reputation. Even as a child, Ford had his eyes set on fame. So it’s no surprise before his career as the fashion world’s king of swank, he was a party boy on the Studio 54 circuit. While now his resume includes names like Perry Ellis, Gucci and YSL, before the fame and headline-making controversies, he was just another unfocused kid. Having had short, unfinished stints at different colleges and yo-yoing back and forth between different majors. He’s come a long way from his Austin, Texas beginnings. Yet somehow he continues to etch his name in our subconscious radars. While he’s much more focused nowadays, he’s still a multifaceted artist. His directorial debut A Single Man, starring now Oscar winner Colin Firth, garnered the designer serious tinsel town respect. So check out a few fave Tom Ford moments below…
