Sheesh. What is it about Paris? Since the word “Couture” was ever enunciated, the City of Light has always illuminated the fashion world. And it’s not just the French shinning through. Americans and other non-Parisians always seem to turn up the style quotient when on Franco soil and this couldn’t have been more obvious than during this year’s Fall 2011 Couture shows. From bloggers and world-renowned editors to actresses and regular passerby, the most inspired show was “off the runway.” We can’t pinpoint it exactly, but there’s definitely a certain je ne sais quoi in the Paris air. Maybe it’s the light? The croissants? The city’s legacy? It’s anyone’s guess. But one thing is certain, we can’t get enough of it and below is just a taste of what we’re talking about.
