The 65th Annual 2011 Tony Awards went off without a hitch Sunday night and some red carpet strollers were nothing short of show-stopping. Held at the ritzy Beacon Theatre in New York, stage stars came out in droves to celebrate the newbies and applaud the vets. Host Neil Patrick Harris turned up the charm with spirited performances worthy of a solo show, while legendary presenters like James Earl Jones received a standing applause, just for walking across the stage. The musical comedy “Book of Mormon” took home nine awards, including one scored by actress Nikki M. James, for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. It was the rising star’s first nomination and…first win! She gave an emotional speech once approaching the mic. Last but certainly not least, the World War I epic “War Horse” received the highest honor for Best Play. Hats off to the winners and noms!
