Bethann Hardison & Legendary Designer Willi Smith Honored At "A Night To Remember"
The stars were aligned Tuesday evening for "A Night to Remember." Fashion pioneer, Bethann Hardison and the late great designer, Willi Smith were celebrated in style. The event was hosted by Judy and Michael Mauldin of R&B Hip-Hop 4 Humanity, Bentley Atlanta and The Atlantan magazine—it was a star-studded affair.
Model Tyson Beckford and WSB TV’s Jovita Moore emcee’d the celebration. Meanwhile a performance from Kenny Lattimore and a runway presentation starring model and TV persona Cynthia Bailey, were also in the lineup. The loft space, Z Gallerie, was turned into a white wintry wonderland by HGTV"s Michael Habachy of "Design Wars." Other celebrity guests included: actress Jasmine Guy, former model Gail O’Neill, Anna Maria Horsford, Toya and Memphitz Wright, Trina and Towanda Braxton, Tameka Raymond (one of the show’s stylists), attorney/Real Housewives’ Phaedra Parks, singer/songwriter Crystal Nicole, choreographer Andrea Kelly, singer Dondria, entrepreneur Peter Thomas, Derek Blanks, Atlanta City Councilman Kwanza Hall, Roger Bobb, Kenny Burns (V103) and more. “A Night to Remember” kicks off Atlanta’s celebration of Fashion’s Night Out which takes place Sept 8. Proceeds from “A Night to Remember” benefit the Mauldin Scholarship Fund at Savannah College of Art & Design and Invisible Beauty, a documentary by Bethann Hardison.
