Full of rich shades, and a simple elegance, Yves Saint Laurent’s ss 2012 collection was somewhat of a quiet storm. Pencil skirts and trouser pants showed the collections’ conservative side, while satin backless halters, and flirty ruffles gave it some YSL spice. The label’s head designer and creative force, Stefano Pilati, strayed away from what we typically see on the spring/summer runways. Featuring mainly autumnal colors and incorporating an occasional pop of mint green gave some classic YSL styles a new look and feel.
