The void has been filled.

The Paris fashion house will release an official statement on Wednesday. Dior, who has left an opening since the firing of Creative Director John Galliano has named Raf Simons for the position. Galliano was let go a year ago due to his anti-semitic remarks. Simons was in talks with Dior for some time, then pushed out of his position at Jil Sander in February. The brand seems optimistic and his first collection should be out this July at the Fall Haute Couture shows. Raf Simmons is commonly known for starting the trend of bright colors.
