The Lower East Side's very own femme fatale and debutante, Vashtie Kola, launches her Fall/Winter 2011 designer line, Violette which includes both women's and men's clothing, along with accessories and vintage wear.  The idea for Violette came about circa 1999 but was not put into fruition (fully) until this past month (there are Fall/Winter collections that date back to 2008-2009).  Vashtie's vision for Violette was to target women first and foremost in her "Femme" and "Rudeboy Yute" lines, however, she also launched a mens collection, "Homme", as an extension of "Violette Femme".  All items are exclusively sold on her webstite, violettenewyork.com, which includes a blog personally fashioned by the phenom herself.
