As guests arrived at the Little Haiti Cultural Center, they were treated to specialty cocktails from Chambord Vodka and tasty appetizers from Mango's Tropical Cafe. Making their way into the gallery, they had the chance to browse artwork from Gerald Ivey and received a custom make-up consultation by representatives from Motives for Lala (run by media personality Lala Anthony)
Owner Shayna D. and Vanessa James presented awards to the following women: Art of Music: Anna Pietraszko (Executive Director, Miami Music Project), Art of Style: Frances Esquenazi (Vice President/General Manager, Neiman Marcus Bal Harbour), Art of Dance: Karin Bejerano (Director of Dance, Academy of Arts & Minds), Art of Spoken Word: Ingrid B (Spoken Word Artist) and Visual Arts Award: Sophia La Croix (International Visual Artist).
Prior to Saturday evening's main event, Neiman Marcus Bal Harbour, The Diva Lounge and Sisters in Motion, Inc. hosted a private cocktail reception and spring fashion preview for honorees and their VIP guests.
