Jones was on the scene for the Barneys New York launch of Prabal Gurung for ICB. Prabal Gurung designed a secondary line for the Japanese brand ICB, which hasn't been sold in American in 10 years. Gurung was appointed the Head Designer for ICB back in December. Hannah Bronfman, Elin Kling, and Leandra Medine, as well as Hanne Gaby Odiele, who walked in ICB's digital runway show served as the evening's hosts. Other notables in attendance included Barneys' Creative Director Simon Doonan, Elettra Wiedemann, Cory Kennedy, Dani Stahl, Hayley Bloomingdale and DJ Mia Morretti was on the turntables.
The party was originally supposed to take place on the roof of the Barneys Co-Op in the Meatpacking district, but ended up being just as fabulous inside, where guests enjoyed tacos, beer and popsicles.
"I like to think of the ICB collection as a stepping-stone to my own...I always focus on feminine silhouettes, and channeled this into the ICB collection with a focus on a bold color palette; I really tried to retain the individuality and statement I see in my own work ," Gurung told W Magazine at the party.
A little after 8pm, Prabal Gurung took the stage to introduce musical act Tanlines. Gurung handpicked the guys to perform and they have steadily been building buzz throughout the city. "Tonight is all about celebration, love, support and everything, talking about love, I’m so excited to share with you my love for this new band...this band...my newly discovered band, Tanlines,” Gurung said. Tanlines performed Bejan, Cactus, Brothers, Real life, Not the Same and All of Me at the party.
The Prabal Gurung x ICB collections is priced between $250 and $650 and will be sold exclusively at the Barneys New York Co-Op and barneys.com.
