This past Thursday, fashion forward young professionals gathered atop the veranda of the Eventi Hotel for Cork Savvy, an event of networking, wine and conversation sponsored by the New York Urban League Young Professionals, Scripps Networks Interactive and the Food Network. Members and guests of the NYULYP enjoyed Food Network's Entwine Wine and a bevy of hors d'oeuvres while participating in the Young Professionals Scavenger hunt, created to meet new people throughout the night.

"Food is a lifestyle", said Crystal B. Washington, VP of External Affairs, Diversity & Inclusion, who will be celebrating her 10th anniversary at Scripps Networks Interactive this November. "The Young Professionals are the type of viewers that we want - driven, hardworking, foodies." Scripps has been collaborating with National Diversity Partner, National Urban League, for 5 years, working with the Young Professionals across the country for the last 3 years.

President and CEO of the New York Urban League, Arva Rice and Jemar Ward, President of the NYUL Young Professionals thanked all attendees for their donations and support. All proceeds from the event went towards the support of the New York Urban League 7th Annual Back Pack Drive. The New York Urban League Young Professionals is a unit of the New York Urban League designed to serve as an empowerment forum for professionals ages 21-40 throughout the 5 boroughs of NYC and the surrounding vicinity.
