Wednesday music's biggest stars were seen in a LA for the 3rd Annual Essence "Black Women In Music" Event where R&B star Kelly Rowland was honored for her contributions to the music industry along with former president of Universal Motown Records Sylvia Rhone who was celebrated for her work overseeing recent releases by Nicki Minaj, Drake, Akon and Stevie Wonder.
Kelly chose a one-shoulder, asymmetrical Alberta Ferretti gown in a striking tangerine color with gold Lorraine Schwartz accessories. Kelly was joined by former Destiny’s Child group members Michelle Williams and LaToya Luckett (no signs of Beyoncé that evening). Some notable guests included rapper/actress Eve, singer Ne-Yo, actress/model Toccara Jones, actress Holly Robinson-Peete, actress Regina King, X-Factor winner Melanie Amaro, singers Ledisi and Melanie Fiona among many others were also in attendance at the pre-Grammy celebration.
