3D printing became a reality over 2 years ago, but only recently has it entered the wide world of fashion with 3D printed shoes and accessories. Now, you can wear 3D printed outfits! Suprisingly, the first person to achieve a creation of high-tech clothing line was 27 year-old, Danit Peleg. The project was a part of her graduate collection for her Fashion Design degree at Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in Israel.

The inspiration for the young designer was Andreas Bastian’s Mesostructured Cellular Materials. By using these structures in soft materials, Danit was able to create beautiful fashion designs that will be known forever as innovative and groundbreaking.

Danit received the idea for her 3D printing collection back in September 2014 – the development of the collection took 9 months, 2000 hours of printing on top of that. The best part? It was all printed at Peleg’s home!
