The ambiance at the Cocotique brunch was nothing short of opulent, much like the beauty box itself guest were introduced to the brand with a full experience; they indulged in mini makeovers by shade perfectionist cosmetics line Cover FX, manicures and massages provided by mobile salon and spa Harper Monroe and skin consultations with Dr. Heather Woolery Lloyd of Specific Beauty. Held in Midtown’s chic but modern restaurant and dining room; The National, guest enjoyed a delightful brunch while discussing the brands forthcoming initiatives and a brief discussion headlined by Dr.Lloyd on topics ranging from her experiences in the sciences and inspiring young girls of color by introducing them to computer science and coding fields with programs such as Black Girls Code. In a short interview with CEO and founder Dana Hill, she talked to us about her goal for hosting the Cocotique event, “I wanted to introduce the brand formally to beauty editors and bloggers” said Hill. Not only did she accomplish that she also allowed attendees to meet the faces behind the products found in the monthly Cocotique beauty boxes. So what should one expect from the brand for the upcoming season; well, for one there will be a box inspired by the popular VH1 show “single ladies” due December, the box as mentioned by Dana will be inspired by the characters and is the perfect gift for the holidays and the single ladies enthusiast.
