Mason Jars are no longer the staple of your grandmother’s kitchen, these jars have made a comeback in many ways. One way is to make a wonderful salad. When you create a salad in a mason jar, there is an order to place the ingredients for great storage and taste.

  1. Dressing: When you start your salad, put the dressing in first, this will help release the sogginess when it comes to the rest of the ingredients.
  2. Grains or Protein: If you are adding grains or protein to your salad place put these items in next.
  3. Extra Ingredients: Add your nuts, vegetables, or fruit.
  4. Leafy Greens: Put the greens in last.
  5. When you empty the jar on a plate or in a bowl, you have a perfect salad.
