The 2016 Black Girls Rock celebration was one that will certainly be remembered for years to come and Jones was on hand to take part in the festivities.
This year’s honorees included a range of young and seasoned women doing extraordinary things in the areas of music, film, television and community activism. Gladys Knight, Rihanna, Danai Gurira, Shonda Rhimes, Amandla Stenberg and Black Lives Matter founders Alicia Garza and Opal Tometi were among those recognized for their contributions as influential leaders in their respective fields.
